Business Management and Marketing Trainings for First Rural Development Grant Winners in Khulo Municipality

From July 2019 to January 2020, business management and marketing trainings were held for beneficiaries of the first rural development grant competition at the European Neighborhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD) Khulo office.

The purpose of the training courses was to empower grantees in business management and marketing. The training cycle covered the following business management topics: detailed business plan review; value chain analysis; detailed financial accounting and reporting; and basic accounting and working methods on the RS.ge website. Meanwhile, the training’s marketing content included the following: product pricing process and pricing strategies management; branding; the importance of marketing research and analysis; creating/managing social webpages; and the essence of product advertising.

“During the training I created social business pages for my business, as well as signing up for Google Maps, which will make it easier for customers to find my business. I also learned more about the tax system, visited RS.ge and most importantly learned some basic accounting to help me run my business better,” said Rima Bolkvadze, owner of the Rima Family Hotel.

Overall, 26 grantees participated in the training cycle. Participants were keenly involved in individual and group assignments led by PMC Research’s consultants.

The project is being implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia (CCRG) in cooperation with partner organizations - PMC Research and the Croatian Rural Development Network (HMRR) - and with the financial support of the European Union under the ENPARD’s Phase II.
