On November 7, Aleksi Aleksishvili, Chairman and CEO at PMCG, participated in the international summit entitled: “Berlin Wall 30 – From the Divided to the City of Freedom”, which was held in the German capital on November 6-10.
The summit was held in conjunction with the city’s celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. This year’s conference emphasized the great changes that have occurred in the wake of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the symbolic many political, economic and cultural wall that still exists to this day.
“When I think about this very important historical moment, once again I realize that economic prosperity, individual freedom, the rule of law, equal opportunities and inclusiveness are what matters the most,”, said Aleksishvili, adding that “it took 45 years of patience and hard work towards economic development, good governance, individual and economic freedom to reach the goal – to break the wall. This is a great lesson for countries , like Georgia Ukraine, and Moldova. We have to focus as much as possible on economic development, prosperity, and good governance, among other things. to break the walls which are forcefully imposed and encouraged by Russia in these countries.”
The summit hosted by the Inter Parliamentary Alliance for Human Rights and Global Peace (IPAHP), and the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy featured events focusing on the fields of international relations and economics, security and peace building, human rights, arts and culture, and brought together world leaders from the fields of politics, economics, religion, and academia, as well as celebrated artists.
