The goal of this project is to support rural disadvantaged populations to find decent and inclusive employment options by acquiring the skills and knowledge currently in demand on the local labor market. In the course of this project, the organization plans to deliver career management skills development (CMSD) workshops for the above-mentioned target group. Furthermore, a local needs assessment study of the hospitality industry will also be conducted to identify professions in most demand in Lagodekhi and Kazbegi municipalities. Project beneficiaries who successfully complete a CMSD workshop will then be given the opportunity to undertake apprenticeship programs in the fields identified as being in most local demand. For this purpose, the organization will partner with local VET colleges and local businesses.

The objectives of this project are as follows:

  • Fifty target beneficiaries in total will attend CMSD workshops;
  • A labor needs assessment study will be conducted among 100 local businesses;
  • Twenty beneficiaries in total will undertake training programs identified based on the needs assessment; and
  • Twenty beneficiaries will undergo an apprenticeship programs and on-the-job coaching.
